Esther McKee-Savage started her professional career with the Florida Department of Corrections. She was a certified Law Enforcement Officer (Probation Officer) at a maximum-security prison. During her last three years in corrections, she worked in correctional education as a Placement and Transition Specialist. Her primary duties were to administer the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) and General Educational Development (GED) Tests.  After working 14 years with the Florida Department of Corrections, she transitioned to The School Board of Broward County. She served as a District Resource Teacher with the Career, Technical, Adult, and Community Education (CTACE) Department. In addition, she has worked in the following capacities:  Acting Assistant Principal, Magnet Coordinator, Women of Tomorrow Coordinator, BRACE Advisor, 21st Century Community Learning Center Coordinator, Behavior Specialist, Curriculum Resource Specialist, Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Facilitator, Writing Support Facilitator and Induction Coach. Her greatest joy was teaching Entrepreneurship and Business Leadership to high school students. While employed with the Department of Coaching and Induction, she was certified as a Credential Coach and a Professional Learning Facilitator. During the 2019 – 2020 school year, she served as a Master Coach with the Coaching and Induction Department. This position afforded her the opportunity to model and share best practices with novice and veteran instructional coaches in order to build capacity and increase student achievement. Currently, she is serving as an Assistant Principal at Whiddon-Rogers Education Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast News and Public Affairs from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide). Her passion for education fueled her to further her education. As a result, she earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Florida International University. She is a certified Instructional Leader in the areas of Journalism and Educational Leadership. According to Esther, education is paramount and is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world as well as one’s mind.

This anointed woman of God is filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. She was reared by her great-grandmother, the late Deaconess Annie L. Evans, in Greenville, Alabama. She faithfully attended The House of God Church, Keith Dominion, Inc. She served in the following capacities: Youth Folks and Friends Union (YFFU) Coordinator, Sunbeam Choir (Member), Alabama Mass Choir (Member), Sunday Bible School Delegate, Newspaper Assistant Editor, and Usher. Currently, she served as a Sunday School Teacher (Junior & Senior Class), Mistress of Ceremony, Mentor, Counselor and as a speaker at various events.

Braking Bread Ministries, Inc. was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The purpose of this out research ministry is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism. God charged Esther and Michael Sr. to minister to those that are hungry, sick, naked and incarcerated. In addition, this ministry has a marriage component, which focuses on restoration (Luke 9:16 and Matthew 26:26).

This dynamic speaker is affectionately known as “Queen Esther”. Her mom, Elder Beverly Duncombe, named her Esther because she loved the characteristics that Queen Esther (biblical character) possessed. This biblical Queen demonstrated beauty, strength, faith, courage and wisdom during a time of adversity. One of her favorite scriptures is Matthew 6:33, which says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

She is married to Michael Savage, Sr., and they have five sons, Rolandon, Michael Jr., Anthony, DeAndre, and Emmanuel. They also have three granddaughters, Mykeira Renee, Aaliyah and Allyse.
